Each year as fall descends, temperatures drop and leaves change. As campus is once again transformed from ghost town to boom town, new students at MSFS perform a rite of passage: electing from among their ranks a select few to be their class representatives. These representatives represent student interests before administration, organize and host events, and bring the student body together around important discussions. Read More
Similar to many students at MSFS, Arno Gasteiger (’14), a student from Austria, decided to spend the summer after his first year in an international location. Gasteiger returned to Vietnam, a country that had captured his interest when he visited previously. Read More
To kick off the school year right, Hoyas United in Graduate Service (HUGS) organized a service project at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in northeast Washington, DC along the Anacostia River. The project provided a chance to see an area of the capital city that most Georgetown students rarely visit, to do something positive for Washington, DC and for first- and second-year MSFS students to mingle as the Fall 2013 semester begins. When a last-second deep pass fell to the ground, the second-year graduate students celebrated their victory in the Second Annual Graduate School Turkey Bowl.
