During this year's spring break (2014), a group of 27 Georgetown SFS students embarked on a trip to Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Organized by several MSFS students, Michael Podberezin ('14), Rob Sotolar ('14), Sasha Martin ('14), Brendan Foo ('15), Dan Granot ('15), and Nadav Greenberg ('15), the ten-day trip was the second of its kind, following last year's successful tour. This year's Tropaia ceremony celebrated the success of 92 bright students with speeches by a graduating student, an alumni and a keynote speaker. Erfaan Mojgani (MSFS/MBA '14), elected by his classmates, delivered a witty yet memorable speech to the crowd. On April 30, 2013, MSFS student Sun Lee (MSFS’14) met with MSFS alumnus Mark Yarnell (MSFS’09) for coffee at Kramerbooks Café. This meeting was part of the Link Up program, an effort to connect students with local alumni. This program provides students with the opportunity to not only learn from experiences of alumni but also to expand their knowledge of careers in areas that interest them. Read More
On Saturday, March 29, Hoyas United in Graduate Service (HUGS) led a service trip to Michaux State Forest in southeast Pennsylvania. Ranger Todd Ottinger led the service trip at Michaux State Forest and supervised the volunteers while they worked on trail maintenance. Read More

On January 14, 2014, MSFS student Brian An (MSFS’14) met with MSFS alumnus Bruce Thomson (’12) for lunch at the World Bank Cafeteria to discuss Bruce’s current career and gain advice about his experience after he graduated from MSFS. On Friday, October 18, 2013, 29 members of MSFS Class of 2003 enjoyed their MSFS 10-Year Reunion Reception. This reunion was held in the Executive Conference Room in the ICC. The alumni came from all corners of the world, including Hong Kong, Armenia, Houston, Austin, Beijing, London and Norway. Although MSFS alumni are busy changing the world all over the globe, reunions present the perfect opportunity to come back to Georgetown’s campus and reconnect with former classmates. Read More
