Yoshihiro Komori
Yoshihiro Komori is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, pursuing a concentration in International Development. He was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in Xi,an, China. Prior to MSFS, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Asia Pacific Affairs at Australian National University in Canberra, Australia and a Bachelor's degree in Global Liberal Arts at Ritsumeikan University in Osaka, Japan.
Yoshihiro worked as a national office intern at Australian Institute of International Affairs where he was involved in policy research on China’s domestic and foreign policies with a specific focus on China’s policies in attracting oversea talents and assisted in organizing and managing the 2022 National Conference of Australian Institute of International Affairs. Additionally, he served as a delegate of Australian National University to Asia Pacific Week Conference and worked as a research assistant at Ritsumeikan University, where he collected empirical evidence on Chinese netizens’reactions to China’s Wolf Warrior Diplomacy.
Yoshihiro is fluent in Japanese, Chinese, and English. His academic interests include Northeastern Asian Studies, Chinese Politics, Human Security and Human Rights Studies. He hopes to transform his passion for international relations into a positive real-world impact by working for international organizations such as the International Rescue Committee or the UN Human Rights Committee with skills and knowledge he acquires from MSFS.
