Tony Volpon was Deputy Governor for International Affairs of the Brazilian Central Bank (2015-2017), and Brazil's representative at the IMF, G20 and BIS. He was also Managing Director and Chief Brazil Economist for UBS (2018-2021); Managing Director and Head of EM Research at Nomura Securities (2009-2014) and Professor at the Economics Faculty of the FGV University in São Paulo, Brazil (2017-2020). He earned his B.A. (Honours) in Economics at McGill University and his Master in Economics at Western University.
