Tomoki Tanaka
Tomoki Tanaka is a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) student from Tokyo, Japan concentrating on Global Politics and Security. He was fortunate enough to visit many countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and Africa, which has driven him to pursue a career in international relations.
Prior to joining the MSFS program, Tomoki received his B.A. in Political Science from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating, he worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, mainly engaged in export promotion of Japanese agricultural and food products. He also worked for the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan and joined the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and U.S.-Japan trade negotiations. He is particularly interested in international trade and the role of Japan in international relations. He speaks Japanese, English and Russian.
