Tobias Mayhew
Toby Mayhew is coming to MSFS having completed his undergraduate degree in Modern and Medieval Languages (Spanish and Russian) at the University of Cambridge. In particular, his placements in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Medellín, Colombia developed interests both in decolonial approaches to Latin American international relations and the former USSR’s transition into a site of hegemonic contests between Russia, China, and the US. At Georgetown, Toby is keen to develop his research skills, developed over his two undergraduate dissertations, and build on his interests in multipolarity and multilateral organisations in preparation for a career in policy. This interest in policy development followed Toby's work experience at the IMO, UK Foreign Office and an Argentinian non-profit, and he is excited to explore new career opportunities with the skills he hopes to acquire over the MSFS course. In his spare time Toby busies himself with choral singing and competitive debating, having judged and participated in the European and World University Championships.
