Taylor Hall-Debnam
Taylor Hall-Debnam is a J.D./M.S.F.S. dual-degree candidate with a concentration in International Development at Georgetown University. She is from Portland, Oregon. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Comparative Women’s Studies from Spelman College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, recipient of the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship Program, and White House HBCU All-Star Award. During her time at Spelman, she studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea. In 2019, Taylor completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship at a secondary school in Terengganu, Malaysia. Her roles included teaching English, organizing community conservation activities, and coaching girls’ soccer. At Georgetown, Taylor’s professional interests include areas such as poverty law, environmental justice, and equal access to education. Taylor intends to focus her career on advancing civil and human rights. Taylor finds joy in building community among students through her work with the Black Graduate Student Alliance. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, road-tripping, and listening to podcasts.
