Shung Yue Liu
Shawn Liu is a former Associate at QuiVive Global Advisory, where he specialized in impact and sustainability projects. He is currently dual-enrolled at Georgetown University, pursuing an MA in Global History and an MS in Foreign Service. Shawn's academic and professional interests include sustainability, youth impact, climate change, and environmental resource management.
His current projects focus on Sino-American environmental history, exploring Chinese polar policy and the role of animal diplomacy in zoos to scrutinize the interplay between environmental resources, nationalism, and diplomacy.
Before QuiVive, Shawn served as the Director of Strategy for 2041HK, a youth-led nonprofit in Hong Kong. In this role, he was instrumental in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, aligning its framework with its educational, environmental, and stewardship goals.
This summer, Shawn will join the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park as an intern. He will propose technology solutions for adoption by the HKSAR government, aiding the HKSTP’s Business Development Team. His focus will be on advancing Hong Kong’s eco-city and smart-city initiatives by analyzing I&T trials across the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to enhance Hong Kong's sustainability objectives through a STEM-focused approach.
