Rawan Chaker
Rawan is a second-year MSFS student in the Global Politics and Security (GPS) concentration. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut. Rawan previously worked for the Lebanese Ministry of Defense as an International and Legal Affairs Coordinator and for the Lebanese Parliament as a Policy and Parliamentary Affairs Manager. In 2019, she has founded Li Ain el Mraysseh, an NGO with a mission to educate and accelerate the socio-economic growth in her neighborhood.
During the past academic year (2021-2022), she worked as an International Affairs fellow for the House of Representatives. Rawan participated in the World Bank Fragility Forum as a panelist, she shared her insights and experiences creating youth employment in fragile states. Currently, she is working as an Analyst for AMALA, an energy consultancy firm. In addition to becoming a certified mediator at the court of Virginia.
Rawan speaks Arabic, French, and English. During her time at MSFS, she started learning Spanish.
