Miglé Petrauskaité
Originally from Vilnius, Lithuania, Miglé Petrauskaité is an MS Foreign Service candidate at Georgetown University where she is pursuing a concentration in International Development. Miglé’s academic and professional interests cut across green growth and economic development, and she hopes to continue down this path after graduation, working on green growth strategies in low-income countries and transition economies. Before coming to Washington, Miglé led a national project with the Lithuanian ministries of finance and social protection, creating the first social impact bond in the Baltics to improve the life outcomes of at-risk youth. She was also an external advisor at CPMA, the Lithuanian development cooperation agency, working to improve the EU's aid effectiveness in its partner countries. Prior to joining the public service, Miglé consulted FTSE 100 clients as an organizational transformation consultant at KPMG in London. She holds a first-class honors degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, along with 2 awards for academic achievements. At Georgetown, Miglé is the elected President of the Georgetown Anti-Poverty Society (GAPS). In addition, she was an economics intern at the OECD in Paris where she contributed to a Working Paper on climate change mitigation approaches across countries.
