Meray Ozat
Meray Ozat is a MSFS student from Kazakhstan concentrating on Global Politics and Security at Georgetown University. Currently, she is also the Public Relations and External Communications manager at SFS Committee on China. She received her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations at Nazarbayev University in 2022. She grew up in Tacheng, Xinjiang China and speaks four languages including English, Kazakh, Chinese, and Russian. Prior to coming to Georgetown, Meray was involved in several research projects on COVID-19 at CoronaNet Research Project recording data on Russian policies against COVID-19. She also interned at the Multilateral Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Royal Thai Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan. After graduation, she plans to continue to pursue a diplomatic career in Kazakhstan. She aims to be involved in the Foreign Affairs Department and resolve Central Asian geopolitical tensions.
