Maeve Knepper
Maeve Knepper is a candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University and is pursuing a concentration in International Development. She is a Donald M. Payne Fellow and will be joining the USAID Foreign Service as a Program Officer following graduation.
Maeve is from Wyoming and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wyoming where she majored in Economics and International Studies with a focus on the Middle East & North Africa. She has spent significant time in the region including in Morocco at Al-Akhawayn University, in Jordan through the Critical Language Scholarship, and in Oman through the Boren Scholarship. For her honors thesis, she conducted interviews in Jordan on household resilience and the impact of water scarcity on Jordanian society. As an undergraduate, she also interned for the U.S. Embassy Libya, the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, and for a development organization where she assisted with report editing for USAID project site visits to post-ISIS Iraqi communities. She was also involved with the University of Wyoming Arabic & Middle East Studies Program, where worked on grant-writing and student involvement. Her research interests include natural resource economics, humanitarian assistance, and the Middle East & North Africa.
