Le Dong Hai Nguyen
Le Dong Hai Nguyen is a graduate student in the School of Foreign Service, pursuing the MSFS in Global Business & Finance and the Landegger Honors Program in International Business Diplomacy. A native of Central Vietnam, he hopes to pursue a career in sustainable economic development and business diplomacy in Asia.
A “double Hoya,” Hai previously graduated summa cum laude with a BSFS in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service, where he was also a Phi Beta Kappa awardee and a member of the honor council. He has served as a Centennial Fellow under Deputy Director Dr. Ashley Lenihan, a Doyle Global Dialogue Fellow with the Berkley Center, and as the Business & Economics Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. Hai also assumed leadership positions in various student societies, including the Georgetown Graduate Consulting Club and the SFS Committee on China.
He has previously worked and apprenticed with Brookings, PricewaterhouseCoopers, McKinsey, and the World Bank. Hai is also the Founding Chair of the Global Association of Economics Education, an NGO working to democratize economics literacy in the Global South. He was named a United Nations Association Graduate Fellow and was commended by the Royal Economic Society among the Young Economists of 2019. His writing has appeared on USA Today, Newsweek, and The Diplomat.
