Le Dong Hai Nguyen
Le Dong Hai Nguyen is a graduate student in the School of Foreign Service, pursuing the MSFS in Global Business & Finance and the Honors Program in International Business Diplomacy. Originating from Central Vietnam, he hopes to pursue a career that involves fostering sustainable development and strengthening economic relations in the Indo-Pacific.
A Doyle Global Dialogue Fellow with Georgetown’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace & World Affairs, Hai was also a Centennial Fellow working with MSFS Deputy Director Dr. Ashley Lenihan. He served as the Business & Economics Section Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, Vice President of the Georgetown Graduate Consulting Club, and a communicator for the SFS Committee on China.
A ”double Hoya,” Hai previously graduated summa cum laude with a BSFS in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service, where he served on the Honor Council, studied abroad at the SFS-Q campus, and was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies.
Hai has worked and apprenticed with Brookings, McKinsey, PwC, and the World Bank, among others. He is the Founding Chair of the Global Association of Economics Education, an NGO working to make economics literacy and entrepreneurship incubation more accessible among marginalized communities. He was commended by the Royal Economic Society among the Young Economists of 2019 and has contributed to publications like Newsweek, The National Interest, and The Diplomat.
