Kana Matsuno
Kana grew up in Yamanashi, Japan and received her B.A. in International Studies from Bukyo University, Japan. After graduating, she worked as a consular assistant with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan. She is currently pursuing the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University. As an undergraduate, she had the opportunity to study abroad in the United States and spent the summer of 2012 joining a participatory rural development program at the NGO called MYRADA in India. She is particularly interested in conflict management, post-conflict development, and humanitarian emergency response. She hopes to pursue a career in humanitarian assistance and development. She speaks Japanese and English.
