JuliaGrace Walker
JuliaGrace Walker grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from SMU in Dallas where she earned a B.A. in Economics and International Studies with a minor in Spanish. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at The Mexico Institute at The Woodrow Wilson Center and held positions as a Rubottom Foreign Service Fellow and an Undergraduate Program Manager at the SMU Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity. In addition, JuliaGrace spent her gap year between high school and college in Ecuador as part of the Global Citizen Year to improve her Spanish and immerse herself in a new culture and setting, during which she taught English to 6th-12th graders and lived with a host family in a small town of 800 people. She is fluent in Spanish. After graduating from SMU, JuliaGrace became the Chief Operating Officer facilitating the successful launch of a new wealth management firm, a role she continued up to May 2023. She is pursuing a concentration in Global Business, Finance & Society, focusing on international trade and development, with a regional focus on Latin America under the MSFS program. Outside of the classroom, JuliaGrace enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and trying new foods with friends. She is a 2023 Rangel Fellow and is excited about her future career at the U.S. State Department as an Economic FSO.
