Johan Bjurman Bergman
Johan has six years of experience in education, job creation, and private sector development on contexts affected by Fragility, Conflict, and Violence. He aims to help create the conditions for people in the world’s most fragile contexts to fulfill their potential.
Prior to starting at Georgetown, Johan was the Head of Operations for Pakistan’s first socially-minded investment firm, designing and scaling solutions in education and healthcare. He also worked as an advisor to governments in MENA. Previously, he helped found social enterprises as a Director at the Hult Prize Foundation and created global education programs at EF Education First.
Johan has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics. He studied languages in France and Syria and is a World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Shaper. He has written for Harvard Business Review, the United Nations, the WEF, Arab News, and Pakistan’s largest English language newspapers.
