Hythem Al-Mulla
Hythem Al-Mulla is a second-year graduate student at Georgetown University pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree with a concentration in Global Politics and Security.Hythem’s academic interests include domestic and international Chinese politics. During his studies at MSFS, he has also focused on the intersection between transnational crime and international security. Before joining MSFS, Hythem received his BSFS from Georgetown University where he majored in international politics.
During his third year as an undergraduate student, he spent one year at Peking University where he directly matriculated into the School of International Studies, and enrolled in Mandarin-instructed classes on politics and international relations with local Chinese undergraduates. Outside of academia, Hythem has interned with the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York, where he served as an advisor, covering the 6th Committee and overseeing Qatar’s legal affairs at the multilateral level.
