Hülya Sehidoglu
Hulya is a first-year MSFS student concentrating on Global Business, Finance, and Society. Hulya originally hails from sunny Los Angeles, California, and has lived/studied abroad in Switzerland and the UK. As a result of her international family background (a dual citizen of Turkey and America) and her comprehensive international experience, she realized the power of "working on both sides of the pond" of having one foot in the US and another in Europe.
Hulya holds a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a minor in Economics, graduating magna cum laude from American University. During her junior year, she was selected to participate in the General Course program at The London School of Economics, where she studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Hulya speaks French fluently and has recently begun learning Turkish.
She holds professional experience in engineering, international business, philanthropy, and the public sector. Most recently, she served as a White House intern for the International Trade Administration, where she had the unique opportunity to engage and work under a diverse network of public servants, including economists, lawyers, and foreign service officers. While at ITA, she was exposed to some of the US's most challenging trade and public policy issues and has gained first-hand experience in how governments tackle them. Longer term, Hulya aims to work between the public and private sectors, with a particular penchant for international finance, trade, and technology.
