Fernando Castillo Botero
Fernando was born in Miami, but grew up in Murcia, a city in southeastern Spain. He studied in the University of Murcia, where he coursed a double degree in Law and Business Administration. Afterwards, he received a Master in Law at the same university and worked at the Spanish law firm Garrigues for a year and a half, before deciding to advance his political interests.
At MSFS Fernando hopes to expand his knowledge of international politics and trade, and to acquire the skills necessary to begin a career in political risk consultancy. Academically, he is interested in understanding how the United States can use its foreign policy to advance both its national interest and the global common good. Besides national and international politics, Fernando loves reading philosophy, history and economics, soccer, and spending time with his friends.
