Federico Guerrera
Federico Guerrera is a student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program, concentrating in Global Business and Finance. Federico was born in Milan, Italy, and grew up in England, where he was educated at King's College School, Wimbledon, and Winchester College. He received his BASc (double degree) with honours in Global Sustainable Development (GSD) and Applied Sciences from the University of Warwick in 2019. He also spent a year abroad studying at Monash University, Australia.
His primary interests lie at the nexus between financial economics and EU monetary & political integration along with economic diplomacy. His past working experiences have included interning as a Research Assistant at the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance - Department of the Treasury, the Royal Bank of England, and the SoDa Labs of Economics and of Econometrics and Business Statistics, researching about the Euro currency, monetary integration and the Economics of Complexity. Federico is also the Co-Founder of the Warwick GSD Society, and served as Secretary and Vice-President of Warwick UN Society from 2016 to 2018. Since November 2019, he is the Regional Vice Chair for Lombardy (Italy) of Mensa Italia-Mensa International.
After graduating from MSFS, Federico plans to pursue a M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of Chicago, and, in the medium-term, he hopes to start a PhD programme in Financial Economics, to then join multi-lateral organisations or the European Central Bank and other EU Institutions.
