Fathima Naureen Fathahudeen
Fathima Fathahudeen is a graduate candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service Program at Georgetown University, concentrating in science, technology and international affairs. Native of Kerala, India, she previously pursued a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and a graduate degree in International Studies.
Interning with Mantraya, an independent research forum, her interests in IR piqued as a Project Intern, working on the project ‘Islamic State in South Asia’. She conducted extensive research on radicalization in Bangladesh, exploring its causes, manifestations, and countermeasures adopted by governmental and non-governmental entities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she volunteered at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, India, where her passion for public service grew, and she played a pivotal role in coordinating essential services for underprivileged communities.
Her areas of interests are Women in Peace and Security, Human rights, Energy security etc. Her language skills include Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil.
