Emma Espenan
Emma Espenan is a graduate candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, pursuing a concentration in International Development. Her academic interests include MENA, humanitarian crises, and development economics.
Emma is originally from Louisiana and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University. Before joining MSFS, Emma worked in the public sector as the Director of Communications at Volunteer Louisiana and served twice as an AmeriCorps VISTA. As a VISTA, she researched and designed a curriculum to address childhood obesity, led four community health coalitions, and helped pilot a program to tackle food insecurity. She is currently a communications consultant with UNICEF.
