Benjamin Rich
His diverse experiences include roles supporting the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright program, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He served in the Political Section at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, where he planned and escorted Congressional Delegation visits. As a Fulbright Alumni Ambassador, he champions study abroad opportunities and has advocated to Congressional representatives and Senators on Capitol Hill for continued federal funding to support international education programs and organizations. As a U.S. Army officer, he coordinated civil-military emergency management operations in multi-agency settings, organizing federal response and recovery efforts to assist communities and regions impacted by large-scale natural disasters.
Benjamin earned an MA in Global Economy and Strategy from Yonsei University in Seoul on a Fulbright scholarship and a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Purdue University on an Army ROTC scholarship. He grew up in Kirkland, Washington, and speaks Korean and Spanish.
