Avi Gupta
Avi Gupta is a candidate for the M.S. in Foreign Service at Georgetown University concentrating in Science, Technology & International Affairs. He is interested in Economic statecraft, Nuclear policy, and Multilateral Diplomacy. Avi has a background at the U.S. Department of State and Treasury. He served at the U.S. Embassy in London focusing on G7 and COP26, alongside broader bilateral economic relations. He also served at the U.S. Mission to the U.N. in the Political section and Management and Reform section to analyze and negotiate Security Council and General Assembly resolutions. He also served at the Department of Treasury’s International Affairs office for Europe and Eurasia and the Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes office for the Middle East to disrupt illicit finance and procurement networks. Avi also worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in Public Finance at Wells Fargo providing financial analysis and debt structuring for municipalities and states around the U.S. Avi holds a B.A. from New York University in Economics & Politics and is originally from Westlake, Texas.
