Abe Ahmad
Abe is an MSFS student concentrating on Global Politics and Security. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State University with a degree in Public Affairs and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. Before joining Georgetown, Abe worked as a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives and interned at the American Task Force on Lebanon, the leading non-profit dedicated to enhancing U.S.-Lebanon relations.
His diverse experiences include roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Middle East Policy Council's Congressional Affairs team, and a Diplomatic Congressional Fellowship with the House Foreign Affairs Committee. As a research assistant at the Wilson Center's Middle East Program, Abe supports Ambassador David Hale in leading the Lebanon Ideas Forum, where he has contributed to his new book on U.S. diplomacy toward Lebanon. As a recipient of the U.S. Department of State's Charles B. Rangel Fellowship, he will join the Diplomatic Corps as a Foreign Service Officer Generalist upon graduation. He speaks Arabic.
