Kento Tamaki
Kento is a Japanese student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program with a concentration in Science and Technology in International Affairs. His academic interests include Technological Innovation, International Development, and Public Policy. He is specifically interested in AI policy and Evidence-Based Policy Making including impact evaluation of programs and policies. Before joining MSFS, he studied political science in the Department of Law at the University of Tokyo in Japan. He graduated early, receiving a Bachelor of Laws in 2022. While studying political science, Kento became passionate about science policy and quantitative analysis-based policy-making. He is excited to leverage his knowledge in political science to pursue this passion at Georgetown. At MSFS, Kento seeks to deepen his understanding of AI and programming languages, such as R, Stata, and Python, and to learn how to translate evidence into policies. He also aims to broaden his horizons through various classes and interactions with others.
