Maximo Ulloa
Maximo Ulloa is a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) student at Georgetown University concentrating in Global Politics and Security. A proud Chilean American from Miami, Florida, he graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with dual degrees in Political Science & International Relations. A lifelong Floridian, Maximo worked for State Representatives Ben Diamond and Anna V Eskamani, State Senator Annette Taddeo, Miami-Dade School Board Member Luisa Santos, and Congressmen Al Lawson and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen in several capacities. As a Florida House Legislative Aide, he drafted the language for “CS/HB 1315 (2022): Veteran Suicide Prevention Training” which was signed into law. Maximo recently served as a Political Track intern at the U.S. Mission to the European Union, and he has also completed contract work for U.S. Embassies Islamabad and Warsaw. Maximo–or Max–has pursued the GPS concentration in hopes of further shoring up his policy skills, tackling transnational challenges, and getting to know this amazing cohort. He is a 2022 Charles B. Rangel Fellow and will join the U.S. Foreign Service as a Political Officer upon completion of this program. Maximo is also very proud to serve as one of the 2023-2024 Student Representatives. In his free time, Maximo can be seen expanding his music playlists, library, and daily to-do lists. Maximo speaks English and Spanish.
"I chose MSFS because it is simply unparalleled. The curriculum, community, and commitment to service will stay ingrained in each of us throughout our professional lives. You'll develop not just a new level of expertise on all things foreign policy; you'll also build a new family and plenty of core memories that will guide you for years to come."
