Cherry Wu
Originally from Canada, Cherry completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at McGill University. Before joining the MSFS program, she held a variety of roles conducting research and policy analysis on emerging technologies and their impact on international affairs. During her internship at APCO Worldwide, she synthesized English and Chinese news articles and government releases for policy-tracking projects, gaining valuable experience working with diverse international clients. As a BLUE research fellow at McGill’s Building 21, she initiated an intensive self-led research project on the future of artificial intelligence and its ethical implications. She continued to explore her interests at Intellisia Institute, where she contributed in-depth articles regarding the impacts of technology on geopolitical tensions for the AI Insights Weekly publication. Her focus areas included how relationships amongst the European Union, the United States, and China are increasingly influenced by issues such as next-generation communication technologies. In her future career, she hopes to draw on her professional and academic expertise to inform broader questions at the intersection of technology and diplomacy.
"I chose MSFS to learn from and work with practitioners at the frontier of their fields, and to engage with an international community of students who embody the spirit of service and diplomacy."
