Emma Morrison
Emma is a candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program, pursuing a concentration in Global Politics & Security. Her interests lie in international security policy with a regional focus on Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Nordic Region, and a functional focus on biotechnology and emerging tech.
Previously, Emma served as the Associate Director for the Defense Panel at the Special Competitive Studies Project, where she focuses on national competitiveness in light of new and emerging technologies in the defense sphere. Her work experience also includes serving on the House Armed Services Committee staff, and internships with the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Brookings Institution, and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Emma holds a B.A. in Political Science, and Modern European and Russian History from the University of Notre Dame, where she was also an undergraduate fellow with the Notre Dame International Security Center. While pursuing her B.A., Emma studied abroad in London, England, and Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia. Emma is originally from Westchester County, New York.
