Joey Gonzales
Joey is currently a dual-degree graduate student at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service and McDonough School of Business. He is tailoring his education in pursuit of skills to build positive investment climates that attract commerce in developing countries, particularly tools that support private-sector development, entrepreneurial climate, and diversity of representation. Prior to starting his graduate education, Joey served for over nine years as an Active-Duty officer in the U.S. Army where he held direct leadership, training and operations planning, and logistics planning roles domestically and abroad. He has served in Operation Inherent Resolve in Syria and Operation Atlantic Resolve in the Baltics. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mandarin Chinese from the United States Military Academy at West Point. In his free time, Joey likes to rock climb, workout, bake bread, and listen to disco/funk.
"I chose MSFS because I saw value in the perspectives that practitioners-turned-educators would bring to the classroom, the strength of the alumni network, and the proximity to institutions with global reach in Washington, D.C."
