Anita Abbey
Anita Abbey is a MSFS candidate in the International Development concentration at the Walsh School of Foreign. She is also the 2020 African Scholar for the MSFS Program. Anita’s educational background cuts across Economics, Finance and she also holds a Chartered Accounting Certification from the ACCA (UK).
Her working experience is about a decade plus at the forefront of banking in Africa working with the largest indigenous banking group on the continent; the Ecobank Group in Ghana. She served in various roles at the bank including in MSMEs Portfolio Management, Group Enterprise Risk Assessment, Strategy Formulation & Revenue Modelling and Research & Investor Relations.
Anita is committed to advancing the global case for supporting MSMEs in developing and emerging economies around the world; thus working with Multilaterals, Development-Oriented Organizations, Governments and other key players to provide the right policies and enabling environment to grow what is the largest employment and poverty reducing sector in most of the world’s economies.
