Leah Kramer
Leah is a first-year Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate concentrating in Global Politics and Security and pursuing the Refugee and Humanitarian Crises Certificate. Her academic interests include forced migration and the role of politics in humanitarian assistance.
Before MSFS, Leah worked at Global Communities in Washington, DC for three years, where she provided programmatic and operational support for multi-sectoral humanitarian and early recovery projects in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Turkey. Prior to that, she worked in Amman, Jordan for two years: first, at the Collateral Repair Project, a small grassroots organization providing assistance to urban refugees; and then at the Open Society Foundations, where she supported grant-making to civil society organizations throughout the Middle East.
Leah is from Philadelphia, PA and holds a Bachelor of Arts in World Politics with minors in Middle East Studies and Hispanic Studies from Hamilton College. She speaks Arabic and Spanish.
