Miriam Frost
Miriam is pursuing her Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown with a Certificate in African Studies and specializes in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and democratization with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. While at MSFS, she has worked with the Brookings Institution, Search for Common Ground, and the Armed Conflict Location & Events Data Project (ACLED). She is also a Research Assistant for Professor Chester A. Crocker and an elected MSFS representative for the 2019-2020 academic year. Miriam spent the summer in Yangon, Myanmar, working with Koe Koe Tech, a Burmese IT social enterprise, to draft a conflict sensitivity framework and toolkit for the company.
Miriam received her BA in International Relations and French from the University of Rochester and studied abroad in Senegal. Prior to MSFS, she worked as a security analyst based in Senegal covering West and Central Africa for Save the Children, as well as worked for local Senegalese development organizations. Miriam speaks French, English, and conversational Wolof.
