Blaise Hanson
Blaise is pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service with a concentration in Global Business, Finance & Society. He focuses his studies on international trade and the role of international institutions in facilitating fair trade practices. Blaise is a recipient of the Australian-based Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation Postgraduate Scholarship.
Before attending Georgetown, Blaise interned at the Australian Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland where he worked across multiple committees, representing Australia on a plethora of trade-related issues. After this, he returned to Melbourne, Australia to finish his undergraduate studies and worked part-time at the Victorian Department of Treasury’s Economic division. Blaise is from Melbourne, Australia and grew up in Singapore, France and the United Kingdom, where he developed a passion for languages and foreign affairs. Blaise graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2024 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics.
