Jiaxi Hu
Jessie is a Master of Science in Foreign Service candidate, pursuing a concentration in International Development.
Originally from Kaifeng, China, she spent formative years in China, New Zealand, Canada and United Kingdom, and cultivated an interest in international affairs.
Jessie graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science in summer 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations. Alongside her undergraduate studies, she has interned at Chatham House with the International Affairs journal department, and has also worked with student think tanks and various grassroot led NGOs.
Jessie is interested in economic development and environmental policies, especially in Latin American countries. She is also very interested in China’s economic and political engagement with developing countries.
Jessie is fluent in English and Mandarin and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish and French.
