Grace Parcover
Grace Parcover is in the accelerated Master’s program. In her undergrad, Grace is studying International Politics with a focus on Foreign Policy, Economics, and Jewish Civilization. At Georgetown, Grace is an ESCAPE First-Year Retreat Leader, serves on the Student Library Committee, and is co-president of Georgetown’s Concert Choir. She is also a teaching assistant for the Center for Jewish Civilization, a Pelosi Scholar, and a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. Her academic interests include the relationships between economic development and policy-making and women’s empowerment and diplomacy. She is particularly fascinated by the concept of positive deviance–the collaboration between certain members of a community who have had more success than their peers in addressing specific issues such as malnutrition, financial stability, and access to education.
Grace has worked at the State Department, Search for Common Ground, and War on the Rocks. During her time at Search for Common Ground, she fostered partnerships with women-led peacebuilding organizations in conflict-affected regions and aided program implementation and management of the Rapid Response Fund, which enabled swift responses to emerging women, peace, and security crises. In one of her current roles as a State Department Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues intern, Grace engages in communicating U.S. foreign policy, in alignment with the National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality. She is also currently a Summer Associate at War on the Rocks where she edits and publishes articles and podcasts focused on foreign policy and national security issues.
