Andrea Nucete Alvarado
Andrea Nucete Alvarado is an accomplished professional pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. A double Hoya, Andrea graduated cum laude with a major in International Economics and a minor in International Development. She has earned multiple honors for her academic excellence, including the prestigious Lena Landegger Community Service Award. Originally from Venezuela, Andrea’s global perspectives have been enriched by living in Mexico, India, and Tanzania, and studying abroad at Sciences Po Strasbourg.
As Executive Director at USA Healthcare Alliance (USAHA), Andrea leads strategic collaborations with key U.S. Government entities, sources actionable intelligence, and manages the organization’s public presence. Concurrently, she serves as a Research Analyst at Medtronic, evaluating strategic engagements with multilateral development banks and facilitating global UN tenders.
Andrea’s diverse experience includes tutoring macroeconomics at Georgetown, assisting research at the Center for Retirement Initiatives, and interning at ENVIROCARE in Tanzania and Jesuit Refugee Service in Venezuela. Her research spans field studies in Zambia and original research on trade policy and sustainable development at Georgetown’s Krogh Honors Seminar.
Committed to community service, Andrea was Treasurer of Georgetown's Food Recovery Network and worked extensively with refugees in the DMV area. She is proficient in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, with basic skills in Swahili. Andrea is deeply interested in leveraging the synergy between the public and private sectors to enhance livelihoods, uplift communities, and catalyze positive change.
