Allie Claman, a native of Manhattan Beach, California, is a first-year MSFS student concentrating in Global Politics and Security at the Walsh School of Foreign Service. Her love of the Spanish language inspired her to study International Relations, Spanish, and Peace and Justice Studies at Tufts University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. Prior to Georgetown, Allie served as a North American Language and Culture Assistant for two years in Galicia, Spain where she taught ESL classes at a public elementary school. She also holds professional experience in program management, advocacy work, and the private sector. Allie is a Humanity in Action Senior Fellow. She is fluent in Spanish and speaks intermediate French and Galician. Allie hopes to continue advancing cross-cultural understanding throughout her life through a career in Foreign or Civil service.
