Audria Hettinger
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Audria is a candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University. She is pursing a concentration in Global Politics and Security, as well as a Certificate in Arab Studies. Audria’s interests center around conflict management, with a focus on the intersection of prevention, stabilization, and local peace building. Regionally, she focuses on the Middle East and North Africa, with a particular interest in the Levant.
Audria currently works as a Programs Officer for Partnership for a Secure America (PSA), which is a nonprofit focusing on congressional relations within the foreign policy and national security realm. Prior to joining PSA, she worked in the Office of Chairman John Yarmuth (D-KY) as a Staff Assistant. Also, she worked as an English teacher in Hebron, Palestine, where she taught summer courses to local students and proctored English proficiency exams.
Audria received dual degrees from Indiana University in International Relations and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. As an undergraduate, Audria spent time in Amman, Jordan, where she took Arabic language courses. She worked at the Center of the Study for the Middle East, in which she facilitated discussion panels and oversaw outreach to the Bloomington community through expanding education materials and resources regarding the Middle East to local schools. Additionally, Audria interned for the Embassy of Jordan in Washington, D.C.
She speaks English and Arabic, with limited proficiency in Spanish.
