Raoul Delcorde is a Belgian diplomat and a university professor with a Ph.D in political science from the University of Louvain. His thirty-five-long year  diplomatic career took him to posts spanning the globe from Pakistan to Poland, Sweden, Canada, and the United States (UN & Washington). He retired recently with the title of Honorary Ambassador of Belgium. He has a strong interest in and extensive experience teaching graduate and diplomatic training courses on European affairs as well as the art of diplomacy. Author of 10 books on international affairs and more than 40 articles. Member of the Belgian Royal Academy (Académie Royale de Belgique) and the Académie des sciences d'outre-mer in France.
