Due to the draft, all students took on the responsibility of war time. Photos of MSFS during the early 1940s show the men in uniform during classes, awaiting or just returning from their tour of duty. The graduation rosters change to include a military rank before every graduate’s name. In the photo below, Father Walsh teaches a classroom full of uniformed men.
