Toghrul Aliyev
Toghrul Aliyev is an MSFS candidate focusing his studies on Global Politics and Security. Originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, Toghrul has previous work experience in both public and private sectors, specializing in international affairs, law, strategic consulting, and political risk.
Prior to Georgetown, Toghrul completed his undergraduate degree in International Affairs with a concentration on Conflict Resolution at the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. After his graduation, he worked as a researcher in TD International, a business advisory & risk intelligence firm in Washington, DC, and as an analyst in the public sector for anti-corruption in Azerbaijan. Currently, Toghrul is a research assistant at Caspian Policy Center (CPC), specializing in writing analytical papers and policy proposals on geopolitical competition, emerging markets and energy politics of the Caspian Basin, Central Asia, and the Southern Caucasus.
