Tessa Ide
Tessa is pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a concentration in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. She aims to work in international climate negotiation and has studied strategies to facilitate collective climate action.
Tessa grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and received her B.A. in Global Affairs from Yale University. After graduation, she worked in economic consulting for three years at Cornerstone Research. In this role, Tessa produced economic and financial analyses and conducted qualitative research to inform expert testimony in several high-profile legal disputes. As a result of her commitment to public service and passion for climate policy, she left consulting to pursue a Master of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University. At Georgetown, Tessa has pursued these interests in her studies and as the Vice President of Climate Policy for the School of Foreign Service Energy Club. She has gained professional experience in climate policy through her in-semester internship with the UNFCCC’s Intergovernmental Support and Collective Progress Division, her summer internship with E3G’s Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics team, and her work as a consultant on a climate finance research project commissioned by the World Bank.
