Sofie Rosenzweig
Sofie is a first year MSFS student concentrating in Global Politics and Security. She obtained her BA in History and minored in German and Environmental Policy & Culture from Northwestern University. She studied abroad in Pune, India at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, where she learned Hindi and played the sitar. Her experiences working at an immigration law firm and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Romania, Guatemala, Thailand, and Trinidad and Tobago pushed her towards an international career that would bring her face-to-face with people and cultures from all over the world.
Sofie worked as a U.S. Fulbright English Assistant at a high school and vocational school in Saarland, Germany before coming to Georgetown. Her academic interests include conflict management and diplomacy with a regional focus in South Asia. Upon graduation, she hopes to serve in the U.S. Foreign Service.
