Priya Parikh
Priya is a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate in the International Development concentration. Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of global health security, international relations, and private sector engagement in development.
Prior to MSFS, Priya worked at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she focused on public health emergencies. While there, she worked with Ministries of Health in Central America and the Caribbean on Zika prevention initiatives, and developed capacity strengthening programs on outbreak preparedness at the global level. In her last year, she helped lead risk communication and community engagement efforts in over twenty countries as part of the COVID-19 response. Priya also previously interned at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C., and worked for the Maryland Center for Health Equity.
Priya attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Global Public Health with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. She speaks Spanish and Gujarati.
