Palak Mittal
Palak is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. Her interest in pursuing a career in diplomacy stems from witnessing the imbalances in society while growing up and builds on the qualitative and quantitative skills that she cultivated through her undergraduate studies of human rights and development economics. Additionally, her professional experiences in the private sector and civil society have not only helped her develop an understanding of the relationships between human rights, economic growth, access to justice, and stability, but have also enabled her to address these challenges through written and visual communication.
Prior to joining Georgetown, she held positions at the U.S. State Department, the Economist Group, Uplift Humanity, and Girl Rising. In addition to her graduate studies, she is actively involved with grassroots women empowerment nonprofits in Indian suburbs.
Palak holds a Bachelor of Arts in Policy and Economics from New York University. She is interested in working in the field of foreign affairs with a focus on the Middle East and South Asia.
"I chose MSFS for its extensive network of highly influential mentors and professors, as well as its academic quality and rigor.”
