Olga Thomas
Olga is a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate concentrating in International Development. Prior to MSFS, Olga was a part of the Africa team at Search for Common Ground–an international conflict transformation organization–backstopping regional offices in Sub-Saharan Africa and both headquarters.
While participating in an “Issues in Sustainable Development” program in Kenya, Olga interned at a grassroots peacebuilding organization (Seeds of Peace Africa, International), where she worked on grant proposals for the cross-border region of northern Kenya, northern Uganda, and South Sudan. Olga also worked as a research assistant for a development NGO in Madagascar monitoring alternative livelihood programs.
Prior to coming to the United States, Olga attended Ural Federal University in Russia and taught English as a Second Language. Olga holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Conflict Resolution from the American University.
