Nathan Kumar
Nate is a first-year Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate with a concentration in Science, Technology and International Affairs. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at Gettysburg College with a dual degree in Political Science and International Affairs. As an undergraduate, Nate had the opportunity to work with organizations in Adams County, PA addressing food access and immigration challenges, and to study abroad in Kathmandu, Nepal for a semester. After graduating he worked as a consultant for a software company that provided U.S. federal agencies an acquisition management system to help them comply with the federal acquisition regulations. Following this, Nate became an English teaching assistant in Indonesia through the Fulbright Program. While in Gresik, East Java, he also led clubs and conferences focused on English learning and teaching. He hopes to return to the Southeast Asia region and pursue a career in Foreign Service while tackling issues of global health diplomacy. Nate is learning Bahasa Indonesian.
