Mehdi Kocakahya
Mehdi is a student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program concentrating in Science, Technology and International Affairs (STIA). Throughout his academic journey, he served as a research assistant in development work and a teaching assistant in Sustainability, Innovation, and Technology (SI&T) across the Walsh School of Foreign Service and the McDonough School of Business.
Mehdi is a multilingual first-generation graduate from Germany with knowledge of development work in West Africa and brings over four years of professional experience in digital transformation, technology and project management. He is eager to connect digital and emerging technologies across governments and multilateral organizations.
He gained experience at the United Nations and was selected as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum and the Climate Reality Project. His competence to reflect accurately and perform as an authentic and resilient leader from a multicultural perspective are excellent requisites to address challenges on a global scale.
