Margaret Joyce
Maggie is a first year in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program pursuing the Global Politics & Security concentration. Maggie’s regional focus is Latin America, and during her time at MSFS, she hopes to explore the policies the international community can pursue in response to security, humanitarian, and migration issues in the Western Hemisphere.
Prior to joining MSFS, Maggie worked as a change management and communications consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, DC. Maggie graduated from Hamilton College in 2016 with a B.A. in World Politics and minors in Economics and Hispanic Studies. At Hamilton, she completed an honors thesis examining the efficacy of U.S. counternarcotics initiatives in Colombia and Mexico. She studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, focusing on social movements and human rights.
Outside of school, Maggie teaches Yoga Sculpt classes at CorePower Yoga in DC, loves spending time outdoors, and enjoys reading. She speaks Spanish.
"I chose the MSFS Program for its D.C. location, incredible professors, and a curriculum that combines theory and practice. The small cohorts and emphasis on community further drew me to MSFS."
